Abbotsford Curling Club Beginners

The Abbotsford Curling Club invites new curlers to try our sport. Novice clinics are held at the beginning of each season to teach new curlers the basics of the game. All efforts are made to get new curlers on teams in various leagues.

Learn to Curl Clinic - "look for new clinic dates"

The Abbotsford Curling Club hosts a Learn to Curl Novice clinic at the start of every curling season. The first session usually runs from 10am to 1pm and includes the basic skills required for curling, as well as a two end game. The second session normally includes a 30 minute skill refresher from the previous day, and culminate with a four end game. If you or someone you know is interested in attending the clinics, please contact Tracy at 604-859-9244 to register for the next clinic. Volunteer instructors are alos needed for this event. You can sign up in the office if you are interested.

New for 2009/2010 - Wednesday Night Novice League

You've been to the novice clinic and now you're looking to join a league to practice your new skills. The Abbotsford Curling Club will be hosting a Novice Curling League on Wednesday nights. This league will run with alternating draw times of 6pm and 8:15pm. This is the perfect league to start out in! Teams can consist of all new curlers, with a maximum of one experienced player per team. New curlers in the Novice League may be eligible for a reduced rate on their curling fees.
